• Does your friend have a favorite flower or plant? Consider find some cool photos online that you can print out to make a unique card that shows how much your thoughts are with them.

• Do you and the person you are thinking of do special things together? Is there a favorite coffee shop that you two frequent?

  Consider getting a memento from the place and using that as the focus of your card with a note saying that you can't wait until you guys can grab a cup of joe again. Or make an invite out of the card so that you can cheer the person up in person!

• If your friend is far away, consider getting them a little gift certificate to a coffee shop or even an ever-so-sweet ice cream gift, so that they have an excuse to make themselves to something yummy. Put a cute ice cream cone on the cover and insist that they treat themselves to the sweet little things in life.

The card could be a little less dramatic than an "I Miss You" card -- especially if the relationship is in it's very beginning stages and you guys are seeing each other frequently.
